The challenge
Modernizing the experience while transforming the UX organization
The existing wellness platform had evolved into a fragmented collection of features and experiences. Inconsistent interfaces made navigation difficult, while the desktop application lacked responsive design and created usability challenges for members accessing the platform through mobile devices and health plan portals.
The native mobile application presented a different experience from desktop, further complicating how members discovered and engaged with features. Accessibility had not been adequately incorporated into the underlying HTML structure or development practices.
Members also struggled to understand their next steps, locate in-progress activities, and navigate their personalized wellness journeys. These issues created opportunities to improve engagement, orientation, and continuity across devices.
The challenge extended beyond the member-facing application. Supporting platforms for clinical coaching, configuration, and administration also required UX oversight, standardized design practices, and stronger collaboration between Design, Engineering, Product, and Client Success.

The bigger picture
A better product. A stronger
design organization
The wellness redesign represented more than a visual transformation. It established a more consistent and accessible member experience while fundamentally changing how UX operated within the organization.
By introducing formal usability testing, reusable design systems, structured documentation, and cross-functional workflows, I helped build a design organization capable of making informed decisions and delivering more consistently across multiple applications.
Following Pager’s acquisition of Onlife Health, I worked with incoming UX leadership to integrate the two teams and support the transition toward a unified design organization. That transition ultimately led to my move into Product Marketing, where I applied my product knowledge, design expertise, and leadership experience to a broader commercial role.
